Gading + Flies killing Spree

Jaqq, Jee, Oink and I, went to sematan last weekend. We had steamboat as dinner, followed by rounds of netbig2.HEE..

I cant upload the steamboat photos yet cos my compact digital cam's battery is flat and is currently being recharged. So you all have to settle on the Gading photos.HEHE.

We were woken up by Jee the next morning at around 6 to look at sunrise.

Too bad there's too much clouds. The sunset the day before was awesome, but it was raining thus no photo was taken.

Since the sun decided to stay hidden, we went back to our guest house. And Jaqq cont her beauty sleep while we played scrabble 'x'

After that we packed, bathed, ate kolo mee and off we go to GADING!

Anyway, about the flies. After we got home from Sematan. I notice there's alot of flies in the house. Don't know where did they come from. But they are such a nuisance! I was feeling a bit feverish yesterday. Even though it was hot last nite, i felt a bit cold. But the flies irritates me so much, i splat them with folded newspapers/ papers. Soon I was on the move, hunting the flies. SPLAT! SPLAT! SPLAT! I started sweating.

And today I woke up feeling fine.ROFL!

4 inches gone!

I permed my hair in January. Back then my hair was still super long.

When i went on my trip. The weather was nice n cool, my hair was quite pretty there. :-D

but once i came back.....nightmare begun...:-(

So hot la.....I keep bundling up my hair. And the bundle was hugeeee.

So I know its time to cut my hair. The curls are not very nice already anyway. flyaways everywhere, i don't want to look like a lion. 'x'

Even though i was very sad to part with my super long hair.It HAD to be done.

So as I sit my ass at the salon, and got my hair wash. The hairstylist came and ask me what kind of cut i want. I hesitated for a while. And show him 4 fingers, "trim 4 inch lah...will it be too much?" He said "quite alot also" and I got a bit worried. But I just close eyes, bite my lips and let him cut.

JENG JENG JENG!!!!hmm...looks like not much difference hor? Cola's mama thinks so too. But its 4 inches lerrrr..and when i saw the pile of hair on the floor...I think its enough to make a wig lo!

The quality of the photo was bad because I took it with my handphone. But look at the pile of hair compared to the magazine.

Anyway..I found a new place I love!Its Desserts at Boulevard..they have a wide selection of ice creams..YUMMY! kit kat, banana yoghurt, mango, blueberry....christmas pudding...etc etc..as much as I am a chocolate person...I am also an Ice Cream person. Give me ice cream, and I shall smile wide! As for now, my favourite flavour from Desserts should be Raspberry Apple Puddingshortcake.*thumbs up*

one morning, I forgot when..HAHA..i made pancakes!! For the very first time!!

I grouped them to 2 batches. The pretty and the ugly. *GRIN*

And the little droplets of pancakes, er should I say dropcakes..are for my dear Mango. She had her breakfast already. But I think those little drops of dropcakes are quite cute. So why waste? HAHA..





Because of budget, we didn't really spend on the kitchen area. I planned to slowly add things to the kitchen. And recently we got a brand new slow cooker. I expected a smaller slow cooker actually. But Mr Oink came back with a 5 Litre slow cooker. O.O!! At first I nagged him. Then I think think think, may be good also. CNY can cook stuff for the guests to eat (If I am hardworking). HAHAHA.

I began to search online for simple recipes. And found one that caught my eye. Creamed Chicken. And the recipe was quite easy. But still I simplified it.

First, you will need half a chicken, remove the skin & fat. I seasoned it with salt, onions & garlic. I don't have a blender yet, so i have to finely chopped all those. You will need some vegetables. I used potatoes and a carrot. And you will need a can of cream soup. I picked campbell's cream chicken soup.



Put the pieces of vegetables at the most bottom layer in the slow cooker.

Then put in the chicken. I browned the chicken slightly before putting in. :)



Then pour in the canned soup.

I turned on high temp for the first 2 hours then switch to low for the next 2 hours. Should have turned on high for 1 hours or so only..as later I found out some carrots and potatoes got burnt at the lining. But then the rest turn out oh so soft and juicy. I LIKE! While I wait for the dish to get cooked, I played pc game, did laundry, went to the park and jogged a bit. The dish kept emitting a yummy, inviting smell, that Mango keep going into the kitchen to check out whats cooking. It really really smell nice.

And, hours later..

TADDAAA!!!




Wanna do something to make dinner appear nicer. But failed!hahah..was too hungry. Don't care liao. Still Laura can make it beautifully.























The dinner was super nice!I simply love the carrots. The chicken was so tender, I had to take it out from the slow cooker, slowly and carefully. I asked Mr Oink to rate the dish. He gave me 9.5 out of 10. I asked him, had he ever tasted any dish that is 10/10. He pondered for a while and said got. Kolo Mee. -.-. I asked which kopitiam? He said he forgot. -.-'''''' So much for a perfect Kolo Mee for him.

Love for Mango

My dad wasn't really comfortable with Mango when she first came to our life . He doesn't want her in the house. Saying all dogs should be kept outside. But Mango managed to charm into his heart. My dad sometimes call her " the small kid" or "seikia" or "kau kia" in hokkien. Sometime I will hear him ask my mum, has seikia eaten?

That's not all lo. Once over dinner. My mum said she forgot to buy fruits. I asked her why the sudden thought. She said Mango likes to eat fruits ma. WHAT THE?? not buy fruits for us to eat meh? Sometime I envy Mango, everyone loves her so much.


How can we not love Mango. As I am typing this blog, she is sitting beside me..close to me. Whenever I am sad or feels alone..she is there. It's really comforting. She will never abandon me. Even though sometimes she gets to my nerve and made me really angry. I still love her. Sometimes her goofiness bring smiles to my face.

I am typing this post now, the morning after THE election day. Oink is still watching the statistics on the TV.

Sorry for not updating as frequently as I should. :-p

But now i feel important! I voted for the very 1st time in my life. We arrived at the polling station 10 minutes before 5pm! Imagine the rush. We practically ran to our intended station after they did the registration/ checking/ validation/ whatever you call it. I was very blur to what I should do. Although I ever worked as a polling agent before, but now I have totally forgotten the procedure. 'x'!

The police at the polling station keep asking us "APA NOMBOR?APA NOMBOR?" then we told them our number then he said "PERGI BELAKANG SANA. CEPAT." 'x'!!!!so we cepat-cepat jalan.

Anyway, should get into the topic now. Itu my good friend Jaqq, went to phuket honeymoon. She and her hubby very nice lo, sama-sama picked a souvenier especially for me.

HAPPY CNY 2008!!

I hope its not too late...still not yet Chap Goh Meh ma...HAHAHAHA

Was busy before this, I have never been so busy for CNY! I told oink, after married, so many things to do for CNY one..so sien..makes me appreciate mum more..Imagine all the fuss she had been through every year!

year 2007's ang pow..YES!I still keep them, still got money inside..those with the 'xi' words are from my engagement..ang pow..i shall miss thou..SOBBB

Anyway..from this year onwards, instead of getting ang pows, I am giving them. Very sad lo..HAHAHA...used to be very happy when get ang pows..and this year I only got one from grandma. Mum asked grandma why give me ang pow? I am married. My grandma's reason is...JENG JENG JENG!...I don't have kids yet..HAHAHA..her excuse makes me laugh hard.. meaning as long as I don't have any kids,Ii can still get ang pow lor?wahahha!!

This reminds me of what Oink and I talk over lunch. he spotted a kid with an 'adult' face. Definition: toddlers that are not baby-ish/ cute enough, he will call them kid with an 'adult' face. I agreed with him, and I told him next time we must have a cute baby. He said next time, our kid should have his height (Oink is a bit over 6 feet), his brain (uweks!!), my mane of hair (oh yes, my hair's alot) and my facial features. Then i said how bout the temperamental, the characteristics?He said hmm, I don't think our future baby should inherited any of our temperamental/characteristic..ROFL!!! We are both quite lazy kind of people. 'x'!!

I had straight hair for a very long time, and it grew n grew till very long. I love it. But one day, i feel like changing my look.'x'!!



I PERMED IT! Its still long though, but much more layered.




I had some colors done as well.


But I have a problem, it doesn't seem to be very curly now. Must be because my hair is too long, its heavy.

I'm missing my rebonded hair a bit. At least it takes less time to care and maintenance was definitely easier.

Nothing much happened lately

The streamyx at my new homeSUCKS.

Aside frm the 2 new malls in Kuching. Nothing much was on for me these few wks. I went to the laser tag game with my colleagues and their friends. And it was very fun lo. Good exercise.

























FUN! I wanna go again!

And recently, Fish came. My friend bagi me ticket to go. So I went with Oink.























Not bad her singing. Very nice in fact. Its been a looooong time since i've last been to such event. I remembered when I was in high school, I will sometimes go to this what do u call it, concert? I don't tink you call this concert, its a much smaller scale. And that time, ppl would squeeze in to take the best seat.Where they can see their idol. I am usually sandwiched into the squeezing crowd. SIGH. But this time, its not so. I think everything is quite in order.

My 2007

I think my 2007 is quite colourful, i had both bad and good times.

The Bad Times

(1) Had chicken pox! Imagine the horror and I was so worried it would leave scar on me and I would look ugly on my pre-wedding photo shoot. But 1 week later, when i am back for work, some ppl say I don't look like i had chicken pox. I guess thanks to the vit E oil?I healed pretty fast.

(2) fell sick a few times. ARGH. Hate being sick. Can't eat this, can't eat that. Good thing is I lose weight when i get sick.

(3) Had this weird "temperature-related-allery-thingy" which itches like what! And it happened weeks before my BIG DAY.

The G@.@D Times

(1) Went back to Belaga to visit grandma and relatives there. Had steambot CNY eve dinner with them and got attacked by swarm of flies. NO kidding! don't know where they came from, its abnormal. It was quite funny, relatives, young n old, swinging their arms for the flies to go away 'x'

(2) Had a nice birthday this year.

(3) Got married!

(4) Got a surprise from Oink on xmas eve.hee..

(5) Shopping! well, shopping therapy is good, they make u HAPPY! So i put it in this list. :p


my resolution for the new year?

(1) Have fun!

(2) learn 1/2 new skills

Christmas and Mango

My parents and us are "sharing custody " of Mango. They get to keep her for the week days, and we get to keep her during the weekends. HAHA!


Guess which one is mango's breakfast "cereal" and which one is our Milo cereal. HAHA. When we first had our Milo cereal, we think it really looked like mango's "cereal".


Mango in da house. She's wearing her hygenic pants. Having THE time of the year. Female dogs have it twice a year. I just don't have the heart to let her be neutered. I bet that it must be painful.

3 Gluttons

Once upon a lunch time, Glutton Jaqq tagged along with Glutton Panda(the least glutton) and Glutton Oink to lunch.



















Glutton Oink suggest we go to this new place, a new food court at 4 1/2 mile, which is called Food Avenue.

The place is clean, maybe because its still new. We noticed that there are no repeating stalls. Each is the only one there.

Well, after going through the stalls twice...ehehe

We made up our minds.

Jaqq and I decided to try on the yam rice. Never tried ma, so must try. Not bad. Rm1 each.



We had it with this pork-fishball-kiam cai soup. Rm4



And I ordered an extra plate of roasted pork to go down with the yam rice. EHeheh. yummy and crispy!Rm4










Oink ordered chicken chop. This one ok ok la. The fries are too salty. I tink its Rm8?



We ordered some fruits also. Can't have all meat and no vitamins right! Quite cheap. Rm1 for each type.

Our kiam cai soup was slow. So while Jaqq went back to remind the guy about our soup, she said she smelt something nice. And then she came back with a bag of steamed peanuts!!HAHA!

But not as gluttonous Oink. After the chicken chop, quarter plate of yam rice, roasted pork, fruits, peanuts, he still can eat!

He ordered a bowl of Spicy Noodles. And finished them!@@!


So the glutton award goes to ...... OINK!

I think we went back to work 2 kg heavier.

A random post

I used to be very busy every weekend this year. There's always things to ponder. Things to plan. Things to complete. Most of these things are for the wedding. It crosses my mind once that what will happen after the wedding. Maybe I shall be bored?Since nothing much left to do. But now that I am married, its not boring at all lo.

How to be bored when you have to do housework?ROFL.I miss my mama, although she always nag me, she is always good at household chores. She can nag while do work 'x'. Multi -tasking.

Before married, everyday i get to eat home cooked breakfast. But now..... LOL. At least we made our own breakfast 3 times a week. I had to bargain this with Mr Oink. Since Mr Oink previously had his breakfast everyday outside. I told him its not really healthy to always eat out. So we made deal to at least have 3 home-cooked breakfast every week lo. Be it bread, eggs, porridge, or even oat (yucks, but i bought one small packet, its good for health ma 'x'.. must try), still better than everyday eat kolo mee/ laksa/ cha kueh tiaw outside.

....as a mrs now. Still not very use to this new status.

And its very itchy lo! Far worse than the chicken pox. The first sign of these patches came up around 3 today. I thought I had eaten something and caused this, but it just got worse and worse, I had to see the doctor. He said i might be allergic to the temperature. Either coldness/ hot.

I never heard of that lo. I feel like a freak lo. Never heard got ppl allergic to the temperature one ler. He said worst case will stay for weeks worrrr. And my wedding is weeks from now. *GASP* OH WHY?WHY?why i always have these kind of itchiness condition?? always during bad timing. *GROANNNN*
