It gets better..oh joy~

Remember a few months ago, I blogged about the horrible experience on flights for Tomato's first trip to Singapore. She was 11 mths old then.

We recently brought her for a family visit cum trip to Tawau. FYI, she is almost 17 months old now. We need to fly from Kch to KK, then KK to Tawau. Needless to say, I didn't get too excited about the trip. In fact I am a bit worried how shall we cope with a crying  and loud kid this time. I pray to GOD so that she will cry less.

But guess what??? GOD answered my prayers. In fact it was more than I had hoped for. Tomato was very manage-able this time around. Compared to the little Devil a few months ago, she was such an Angel for this trip. She didn't cry at all and willing to sit still longer.  When kids near her cried, she just look and pointed and goes eee-eeee-eee . LOL.

Out of the 4 flights (return trip ), she manage to sleep throughout on 2 of them, and she didn't even drink milk till sleep, I fed her milk before the flights. Even if she wakes up half way, she can still sleep back.  She enjoyed sleeping on her daddy's chest.
I found she love to feed herself from this trip. She will fight the spoon off my hands. Although she always make a big mess, but I can see that she can spoon her food better now. When its difficult to spoon up the food, she will just use her hands 'x'. AHHAAH. As long as you keep her bowl filled with food, she can sit still and eat herself, and I can eat in peace. OH BLISS! My little girl is growing up tooo too fast. T.T

Tips & Pointers from this trip:

• I don't know is it because of the age, or because she has been on a flight before. She is much more manage-able now compared to before.

• bring disposable bibs. It is very handy when you travel and if your infant love to self-feed. Once they made the mess, you don't even need to pack/ wash the messed up bib. Just throw it. Convenient, I love. I got mine from cosway. It has a pocket to catch dropped food.

• Let it go. Don't mind the mess. Practice makes perfect. As they practice to eat by themselves more, the mess will get lesser and lesser. If you only focus on the mess/ worry about how ppl look at you when your child is making such a big mess, your child may never learn to be independent.

You know when people described how much they have shitted after drinking some detox or slimming tea. " I SWEAR I POOP 2kg out!"

ITS A BIG FAT LIE 'x'

I used to think that way too. Until I get myself a digital scale.

Just out of curiosity, I weighed myself before and after my business 'x'

I didn't drink any slimming tea/ detox tea. But I feel that my business is quite weighty. Should contribute to some weight loss. But unfortunately, I weighed the same. But if you pee, it is for sure there will be some weight loss when you weigh yourself on a digital scale.

I tried weighing myself before and after (big business) on other days . And the result is always the same.

Aunty Angela Sarawak Laksa @ Green Heights Mall

My SIL has been raving about a certain Aunty Angie's laksa at The Pan Tree @ Green Heights mall.

Having exhausted the ideas of where to have breakfast on my last day as 20 something , I decided we should go try it out.

We arrived to find the place quite deserted. 'X'. Were very sceptical  whether is it as nice as SIL claims to be. We went ahead and order the laksa anyway. Regular ones for each of us. RM 5 each. I think they are having promotion?The usual price should be RM6 for regular sized laksa?

Looks GOOD? First sip of the broth, Oink said its curry-ish. But after adding the limau juice in, it's GOOD. The prawns are FRESH. Beehoon and prawns are done to the right Q-ness. YUMSS

Oink was not very full after having the laksa. So he went ordering Chicken and Mushroom handmade noodle from the stall just opposite Aunty Angela's.

Doesn't look very interesting. RM 4 (also under promotion).  But it tasted GOOD. I like it. The Chicken and mushroom was tasty.

Food here IS pricier compared to kopitiams. But its clean and cooler and has less ppl (not good for their business but good news for us who don't like to fight for a table (and most of the time not clean) at popular kopitiams.

Eyes only

Someone has been nagging me to quick quick post on this topic.

well..


I got my hands on some stuff lately. All on beautifying my panda eyes.

Some more lately got so many wedding banquets to attend to. So I get to experiment and play with them.

























Been reading that some pretty bloggers uses this. Now I get to try it.















The comb looks like this. And it has 2 sides. I am not sure which to use first, so I start with the wider width one (1) . Then refine my lashes with the finer one (2).










Now this is how I look before makeup. ERM, not totally :p without any makeup at all. I had BB cream and drew my brow with an eyebrow pencil and also put on concealer. SIGH..my lashes are short. And someone commented how come my lashes are shorter at the corners. VERY THE CIS!










And this is how I looked after I am done with my eyes. Am not very good at makeup though. 'x' But the mascara really make my lashes look more prominent and longer. I can feel the lashes getting hard when I applied another layer of the mascara, making it easy to curl it and make it stay curled.

Then, on the other night, I experimented on false lashes. I find it quite hard to use my hand to put on the false lashes nicely, but, with the help of a tweezer, I did it in less than 30 secs.









HOW?VERY NICE RIGHT??!

So now, for a more glam look, I will put on false lashes, if not, on lazier occasions, I'll just use the Majolica Majorca Mascara. TEEHEEHEE.

Mango & me

I bought this book recently. Its a true account on how Marley, a lab retriever, effected John Grogan's family's life. It brought joy, tears, anguish to them. As i read this book, I laughed at the goofiness of Marley, of which some i see in my very own Mango. As towards the ending, it made me cry a bucket. It made me cried even more than PS. I love you.


























At the centre of this book, John included photos of Marley. The moment i finished this book, i was still sobbing, these are the pages I kept flipping and looking.

Marley didn't just touched John's family's heart. It also touches mine. But what i think is, this book will only make those who ever owned/ wanted a dog touched.

There are some quotes in this book which I really liked. One of it is:

" We could have bought a small yacht with what we spent on our dogs and all the things he destroyed. Then again, how many yachts wait by the door all day for your return?"








ahh, my Mango, which came to me as a 6 wks old pup. Soon she will be 2yrs old. :-) Whenever i come home frm work, there she'll be by the door, wagging her curly tail, turning & turning, and licking my toes . This kind of feeling is PRICELESS.

My Boss My Hero

AHEM!Mind you! I am not saying my OWN boss is my hero.

Its a japanese series i watched recently.

Bro dwnloaded the series into my pc (new HDD with lotsa space :-D ).

Once i start watching it, I'm hooked!

Its super funny, sweet, and touching.

It comprises of 10 episodes. It took me around 2 days to watch cos i had to work. So i watched till after 1am 2 days in a row. :-p came to office with super panda eyes. But i have no regrets, since its a gd series. It made me laugh, and got a scene almost made me cry. Thumbs and toes up from me!








Ok, a brief intro on the series.

Its about a feared yakuza (mafia?samseng? Dunno the right term) young master, Sakaki Makio (27 yrs old), who wanted to be the next gang leader. The gang leader is his own father. But he is too stupid (can't think for more than 90 secs), and the father made him go back to high school study. If he graduates, he'll be the next boss, if not, the seat will be given to his younger bro, who has an iq of 180, but cannot exercise for more than 90 secs. So he had no choice but to go back to High School and pretend to be a 17 years old.

You have to watch for urself! Its highly recommended by me.

I am going to burn it into DVD so i can watch it again in the future.

BTW, the main actor looked a bit like Jerry Yan, but with much much better acting skills.
