Yam Mushroom Porridge

On merdeka morning, we had brkfast with Jaqq and Jee. Jaqq suggest I try the yam mushroom porridge at GardenPark cafe, stutong. She told me that she's not a porridge person and yet she is addicted to it. I must try it for myself to know how good it is.

overall, its yummy, its kinda feels like eating "chai tou kueh" but its in porridge form. HAHA..I like it! Its rm3 per bowl if u guys are wondering.

I was suppose to go to Office to do some work after that, but end up listening to Jaqq and Jee telling ghost stories. They sure spooked me. But I don't want to spook u guys..HEHE

Oink ordered a Buta (pork) set. And we also had mixed tempura (prawn and vege). By now, our small table for 2 is full. ROFL.

Mango gets a new bed from Ikea

BOMBASTIC Bombay Masala CAFE

I hope this is the name of the shop. I can barely remember, its opposite Curry House at Rubber Road. I was craving for Thandoori chicken after i heard Jaqq mentioned about it. So me and Oink went to try it out. I ordered nasi briyani kambing with extra Thandoori. LOTS of nasi briyani was served. Luckily i have decided to let Oink share with me earlier on and he ordered Roti Canai only.




There's curry mutton, some pickled cucumber, "keropok" and don't know minced what served with the Briyani Rice.




When they re-"grill" ( I don't know what they call the process, they put it inside a hot stone stove to reheat it), my thandoori was mostly burnt!! after i peel of the burnt part, only left a few bites of meat for me. (T.T) Remember i had to share with Oink?

HAHA! I ever tried making my own thandoori chicken with maggie's ready made paste. Quite nice oso, but i baked them instead of BBQ-ing them. keke





The nasi briyani is nice though, but i tink quite oily la, cannot eat too much. SINFUL.

Mango & me

I bought this book recently. Its a true account on how Marley, a lab retriever, effected John Grogan's family's life. It brought joy, tears, anguish to them. As i read this book, I laughed at the goofiness of Marley, of which some i see in my very own Mango. As towards the ending, it made me cry a bucket. It made me cried even more than PS. I love you.


























At the centre of this book, John included photos of Marley. The moment i finished this book, i was still sobbing, these are the pages I kept flipping and looking.

Marley didn't just touched John's family's heart. It also touches mine. But what i think is, this book will only make those who ever owned/ wanted a dog touched.

There are some quotes in this book which I really liked. One of it is:

" We could have bought a small yacht with what we spent on our dogs and all the things he destroyed. Then again, how many yachts wait by the door all day for your return?"








ahh, my Mango, which came to me as a 6 wks old pup. Soon she will be 2yrs old. :-) Whenever i come home frm work, there she'll be by the door, wagging her curly tail, turning & turning, and licking my toes . This kind of feeling is PRICELESS.

Actually I got alot to blog about, just don't have enough time. HEHE

So cun that Ah Boy missed Mango and I wanna blog a bit on Mango. She's getting round at the tummy. So brought her to Stutong Park for a walk.

Stutong has a walking lane that extends up to 1 mile (which is 1.6km). But more than half of the walk, Oink had to carry her because she was tired and refused to walk. HAHA...

I went to the Rainforest World Music Festival on the last day of the 3-days event. It was hot! HOT HOT HOT!Was very sweaty! But the workshops was great, and so was the concert at night.

Sweaty me. I dare to publish this photo because I don't think u guys will know its me as half my face is mostly covered..muahaha. Besides i am cutting my hair soon. Yes!cut, not trim. I think its way too long already.

2 aunties having fun at the festival. They danced their hearts out.Its good to see seniors enjoying themselves like that. I felt a bit ashamed. All i shaked was my hand..:-D!! I was hot ma, need to fan myself. Besides it no fun to shake alone. Oink was standing still like a log. Not fun at all! And i had no idea where my friend, Eva is. She later told me she wanted to dance to, but her bf was having a bit of tummy ache. Sigh...

That day, I went to have my first manicure. A french one. Muahaha.. Looks pretty hor. I can't have squarish ones because my nail was too short. I can't have my nails too long, i tend to scratch myself when i sleep.





















Look closer and you will see the "wrinkles". :-(( the lady told me after half an hour, they will dry. So i didn't dare to touch anything for half an hour.But still its damaged ler..SIEN.

After my manicure, I went to spa. SHIOK! so song. had body scrub, mask and hydrotheraphy (jacuzzi).

Its Friday the 13th!

after the lucky 07/07/07(many said that its an auspicious date), its friday the 13th(13/07/07)..

whenever its friday the 13th, it will make me recall something from my past.

Although 13 is always my favourite number, i also had a share of my friday the 13th's bad luck.LOL

It happened many years ago, i think i was either in form 1/ form 2. On that day, its a coincident that my dad has to go to KL. SO i had to walk back home from school.
I was in the afternoon session that time. As soon as the bell rang, it was already starting to rain. I decided to walk faster so that i can reach home before it gets dark. But the wind was blowing hard, n the rain soaked my shoes wet. It was a miserable feeling, i was cold.
I stopped halfway to take shelther at the shop lots, hoping that the rain would subside soon. But i waited and waited, its still heavy. A school bus passed by, all the kids inside was wet and dry.
Its getting dark soon, and I am alone. My conscious told me to just go ahead, soon i'll be safe at home, having nice warm dinner.
As i was crossing the road, a car drove pass by really fast, across the water puddle. SPLASH! i am wet all over now. How unlucky, i am getting more miserable.
Once i got home, i quick2 take a bath.

SIGH, it was a wet unlucky friday the 13th for me then. Actually i didn't notice its the 13th until i got home n saw the calendar.LOL


Its getting quiet here in the office without the other 3. There were originally 5 of us. 1 left.1 on vacation, and another going to another country.Hmm, I miss them.LOL. I miss the days when we chat through email. Always got something to laugh about.

Listening to sad korean songs doesn't make me feel better either.LOL

07/07/07

They say its once in a millenium. Indeed it is. Alot of people chose this day as their wedding day. My cousin wedded on this day. Can't attend though cos its at Belaga, it will be too rush. But I am happy for her :-)

Since its a special date, i was thinking of doing something special. But was too busy for it..LOL end up spending the day like any other days. Also consider special ma..LOL, at least i ever experienced this very day. At least i get to spend the day with people who are important to me, get to play with mango. :-) AHH, very special already.

Something is different on this day though. The traffic jam was far more serious at night(arnd 6-8 and 9-11). I think its because of the weddings lo.

Beautiful Wedding -03/07/07

Yesterday, a dear friend got married. She was pretty, cheerful and all smiles (always are!).



















They have always been such a lovely couple. After being together for so long, the groom popped the BIG question and the bride said YES!

Despite the sunny hot weather, we had lots of laughters. They registered on the very same day, in front of 20++ of us as eye witnesses (only needed 2 witnesses to sign the marriage certificate ma).Once the registrar declared it as official, we all clapped and it was such a touching moment for me.

Its a lovely lovely wedding. Warm and fuzzy. A kind of wedding i like (and happy) to be a part of. :-) Now they are on a long honeymoon vacation.

Congrats my friend. I wish u and ur hubby will always be loving till forever and ever. You 2 are our role model! So must live up to it ya?LOL

I had Chicken Pox during Mother's day. So we didn't celebrate Mother's Day in May. Now that bro is back for semester break. We decided to have a nicer dinner at a nicer place to combo celebrate Father's & Mother's day.

Verdict : Disappointing. I think its not "drunk" enough..HAHA

Verdict: Not bad. Its different from other places because the oysters was fried separately from the pancake.

Verdict: YUMMY!I like this most. But I don't take the jellyfish served in the centre.

Why is this my ultimate choice?got story der...

There's was once i had not much appetite, eat only a few mouthfuls of rice niah during each meal. Mama was very worried, everyday ask me why eat so little.
Bring lunch box to workplace also hardly touch it.Till one day, when i open up my lunch box,
i noticed mama packed asam fish for me. She woke up so early just to cook the dish for me, hoping that I will eat more.
I was so touched that time, tears filled my eyes, i told myself i must finish it for mama.
From that day onwards, i told myself i must eat more for mama.

Got no photo of the Asam Fish ler, lately mama didn't cook Asam Fish. LOL. I will take photo of it next time and put it up next time ya? (IOU..LOL).

OUR LUNCH THAT DAY

My streamyx service was suspended. Because I forgot to pay the bills :-p. But I already gave the money to dad and asked him help to pay bar, so gimme my back my streamyx already! Later on yew charge me without letting me use it. HMMPH. And this somebody in the house is pissed because he had no streamyx to use. Give me black face to see, I am also pissed to see his pissed face. HMPH. What is it with youth these days, its like the end of the world when they cannot go online. PUH-LEEZE la, get a life, there's so many other things to do besides getting online.

(OK!I added in this section after a few minutes of the original posting. LOL! apparently, this somebody sms-ed to apologize to me after a few secs i published this post!!LOL! Ok, that's very polite of him. I think i got do wrong also la for not being understanding, so i apologized also. I guess this is called sibling bond thingy? LOL..

but then, really la, the youth these days spend too much time online. Gone were the days when youth go hiking la, camping, playing basketball, soccer, etc. I can't imagine what will our future generation do for fun in the future)

OK. Enough with unhappy things.

That day, Oink and I saw these and hiao-hiao bought it so that we can have it as lunch.



Oink had this Thai Tom Yam flavour

And I get the Beef Stew Flavour.

What tempted us to buy them was the delicious looking photo on the packaging.

And what do we actually get?

This is what mine looked actually. only had a few pieces of tiny carrot bits. Should have more ler, like green peas kah?


Oink was luckier, at least his got a piece of that made-from-flour-thingy

NEVER again shall we buy these brand of instant noodle.

Not sure what to put as title

Forgive me for my lack of updates. Lately was busy. And the streamyx sux. Besides, not much had happened. Its the same ol' routine.

Last Saturday was really hot. It rained in the morning, but after that it was hot. Urgh.

We went to Song Kheng Hai again.

I had Honey Sea Coconut Drink. yum yum. Good for quenching my thirst.
























I ordered Indian Rojak since i saw the cucur wadai displayed is quite tempting. I spoke Malay to the Indian lady, but she spoke Hokkien to me. WAHAHA.. interesting! This only happens in Malaysia I guess. And the cucur wadai they used in the Indian Rojak was good. :-)


Later that day, we saw a few of pc's/ oink's friend kenak tangkap. @@! It was so hot, and they are trapped. No where to toss and turn, quite kesian la.....

I like the one sticking the nose out, Very fat n round. He (I assume) tried to turn n shift to a more comfortable position, but the cage was too small. Kesian lah..


Coincidentally, that night, my family attended a charity dinner, they served pork leg stew. *rub chin*

hmmmm~

No photos of the pork leg, as soon as it was served, the hungry ppl on my table was already cutting it into smaller pieces..:-p

Nothing Much Happened



We had a long weekend because of Gawai. :-)

Its quite peaceful, nothing much happened.




















As usual, mango doing what she likes 2nd most-sleep. She likes to eat most. :-D!

I like this one too, But there were some loose strings, i had to cut them off, and all the buttons were loose, i had to sew all the buttons on firmly :-|

















(3) Casual Wear

This does not look much, but i love it bor. At 1st glance, its doesn't seem like what i usually wear. But hor, when i put it on, I simply love it!





















mmmm, i am satisfied. Not bad, not bad at all.

If next time CNY lazy go out to buy new clothes, can just buy from them..HAHA!

Things to do when you are confined at home due to Chicken Pox

(1) Watch Anime/ Series/ Cartoon/ APA-APA Saje

I have finished watching Inuyasha liao. HAHA. At least it distracted me most of the time from the horrible itchiness.

(2) Online Surfing/ Shopping/ Play PC Game

I did my first online shopping the other day. I bought clothes online. Well, I need some pampering ok? Besides, I like what I see, so I buy. Muahaha. But i have to bid farewell to 100++ SGD, which is like RM200++. I saw another item i liked today, but i made some excuses to myself so that i won't spend more. MUST. STOP.LOOKING.AT.THE.NICE.CLOTHES.

(3) Jigsaw Puzzle

Mum and I did this, these few nights. 1000 pieces of them. Phew.

But it had a "flaw" in it. Can u spot it?

Here it is. A part of that piece is bitten off by Mango. Thus leaving a hole on it.


(4) Count the blisters u have on ur body (kidding!!)

I didn't count anyway. HEE.

(5) Torturing yourself by thinking of all the glorious food you can't have for one month

Oh, how i miss Taugeh Mee, Butter Prawn, Crab, Laksa..etc..but I just can't have them for one month. Well, to get my smooth skin back, it should be worth the wait.

After one month, I shall treat myself with all these glorious wonderful food.

Worst Nightmare

This is what i feared most. And its actually happening now. *SIGH*

Why didn't it happened when i was younger?When the effect won't be as serious?

i feel so bloody ugly now. And the blisters are so damn itchy. Hard to stop myself from scratching it. URGH. I don't want any permanent scar.

AIZ, so depressing.SO itchy.

I was given 5 days leave from work by the doctor.

Meanwhile, the man, is suffering from a minor bone fracture. He had it while playing Basketball.

Coincidentally, he too, is confined for 5 days.

How "SUEI" (unlucky) lah both of us.

OH! I really hope there wont be any big ugly scar on me.

Punished

I think my body is punishing me. :-( For watching Inuyasha till late at night these few days. I am down with slight fever. Body feels a bit aching. And my tastebud went nuts. All the food i tasted was bland, n the pizza hut spicy wing i tasted was salty instead. hmm, u guys probably feel like scolding me liao, cos I am sick, still went to pizza hut eat. Well, i didn't feel like eating porridge ma. :-p

oh, i better rest more now. I still want to taste good food ler. I hate being sick.

Been busy lately, watching Inuyasha

WE are PRO!
When we asked the lady about the tandem bike, she gave us a are-u-sure look.

"U expert kah?" the lady asked

"Why?very difficult to ride ah?"

lady pouts and say "ya" softly.

I was a bit ciken-ing out from the idea, but THE man say lets give it a try. He said "Never try never know mah"..LOL

He got on it first. I was still a bit scared. Keep telling him to make sure its stable.

When i was ready, i got on it, make sure i had a firm grip.

"ready?"

"yup"

"1...2...3"

and off we go, a bit shaky at 1st, but it went on smoothly afterwards.

If the lady says only experts can ride it, we are like super PRO ok?LOL

and we rode like 6kms!

We made quite an attraction at Sematan Town. Hmm~ i guess the tandem bike is a rare scene. We got ppl asking us is it difficult to ride it. And kampung kids that yelled "LUMBA(race)!LUMBA!"

legs was sore, but it was a satisfying experience.

I will always remember this...
