Mango Honey

I bought something for my dear love Mango...something that is soo much cheaper there, sooo expensive here.

Come and have a look.

MANGO as a bee, so cute. The costume got wings somemore. Initially I wanted to buy a sheep costume one, but hor, the costume look very small and thick. Mango might feel very hot in it. This bee one not bad also. :) I can't stop laughing when I put this on Mango, she kept squirming.

TOO TOO TOOO CUTEEEE..aaawww

Sign of Old Age

Don't know whats the matter with me today.

First, I notice my phone is not in the bag when I need it. And thinking I might left it in the car. I go down for it. Hoping no one broke my car window to get it. That was in the morning.

After lunch, I went to the bakery to get some pastry for dinner. I will be having early dinner cos tonight got Yoga class. I DID NOT put in my wallet back into the bag. Instead I held it with my hand and left it on the passenger seat. And again, I forgot to take it up to the office. And again, I go down, praying its there and nobody broke my window to steal it.

And now, both my HP and wallet are safe with me. No window broken. Thank God.

My LOOT from Taipei

Hi peeps. *GRIN*

I just got back from Taiwan last week. We went Puli, nantou. Taipei. And Hualien.

Alot ppl blogged about taiwan already. And those blogs really helped me with my itinerary. I shall not bore you with it again, the photos of the places are almost the same..AHAHA. But I shall show you the fruit of my labor err..trip.TEE HEE HEE

I had almost 2 days (accumulated) of shopping therapy. One of the days was my birthday. So for my birthday, I wanted to do what I like. Which is erm, shopping! 'x' Please don't label me as a shopaholic. The items I shopped are not branded, anyone can afford it. There's no LV, no Coach, no Burberry, no other mumbo jumbo brando stuff. Each shop, I spent less than half an hour. Its like I came, I saw, I buy. AHAHAHA..

come, I show you what I bought. Well, most of it. The ones that are not shown are either in use/ in laundry basket/ eaten/ given away/ etc.

THE BAJUS

errr, guess how many pc are there in the photo? No prize though. 'x'

THE KASUTS

Let me model the shoes a bit.

This one actually a bit shiny. But its not reflected in this photo. Never mind, its really nice if you see it for yourself. I was lucky they still had the smallest size, the next 2 bigger size after the smallest was all sold out. *HAPPY ME*

I like this pair too. Something different from what I normally would choose. Also smallest size. See how much effort I put into modelling these shoes?AHAHAH. I even put on skirt and panty hose.

I'm keeping this for CNY. Simple and nice. Suitable to wear to work.

Cute. I saw alot Taipei girls wearing something like this. But the ones they wore got wool lining inside. Too hot for Malaysia. So I chose something that is more suitable.

How can I come back without a pair of boots. Too hot to wear on normal days though. I shall wear it at night or when got formal dinners.

SOME OF THE SOUVENIRS

Striped one is to be given to my SIL. The other two cute ones are to be given to my young cousins. :)

MISCELLANEOUS

don't know how to categorize this. In this photo apa-apa pun ada. Makeup, Majorlica majorca mascaras (which is not available in msia), accessories, my beauty diary masks, etc.

LEGGINGS AND BELTS

Leggings are very in there now. But don't know for how long. AHHAHA. Anyway, I bought the more plain looking ones.

Anyway, let me summarize a bit on my taiwan trip.

HOSPITALITY : EXCELLENT! If I can, I will give Taiwan "The most polite chinese populated country in the world" award. The people are so polite. Except for the aunty that is selling crabs at Keelung 'x'. Avoid her. The crabs not nice also. Kuching ones are 100x better and tastier. Hers is super expensive some more.

FOOD : Its a bit disappointing. The ones that are really popular with long queue didn't taste special to us. But we did manage to try on some really good food. Not to mention a really good Beef Noodle which will be mentioned in the future.

ACCESSIBILITY : Its easy to move around from places to places. Got bus, got high speed train, got MRT, got Taxi. Some places got shuttle bus some more. If you have done your homework, I think its easy to move around in Taiwan.

SHOPPING : GOOD. Look at how much I bought. 'x' I mean, its not really cheap. But the sales persons working in the shops/stalls are so polite and friendly, I find it a pleasant experience to shop at their places. Even if you don't buy what they promote, they won't force you or scold you. They still smile politely.

ACCOMODATION : there's plenty of homestays and affordable hotels to choose from. The one we stayed are good. I shall talk more on these in the future. Not now. AHAHHA.

I would love to go back to Taiwan one day.

Next post would be on what I bought for Mango. Stay tuned~~

I have decided..

not to colour my hair...

AHAHHA!

which is good right? Save money. Save time.

to Colour or not to Colour

I have a sudden urge to do something to my hair.

I did short before.
I did curls before.
I did Aaron Kwok before (High School, don't ask)
I did highlights before.
I always got rebond my hair ( at least nowadays to the hair root).

There's one thing I have never done to my hair. OK, two things may be. The other one is becoming bald WHICH I HOPE WILL NEVER EVER HAPPEN TO ME. *touch wood*

Ok, this one thing that I had never done to my hair is to dye it whole. I KNOW...people do it when they are 17/18, as soon as they left high school. But back then, I really love my jet black hair. Somemore my ever so strict dad drop hints at us to never colour our hair. BLA BLA BLA. But when I started to work. I felt ADVENTUROUS. I totally forgot dad's warning and did HIGHLIGHT. But he didn't say anything ler. I guess he FORGOT also?'x' OR may be he couldn't care less, because at home I am the one with the fashion fashion thingy. And I am the stubborn one.

BUT NOW, I feel like dyeing the whole thing. I see what colour did to others. Coloured hair people look younger and more radiant. If I don't like it, I can still always dye it back to black right?

HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM. Will see how...........

Frienz N Family

What do people first think of when Jalan Song is mentioned? Yes, its the FOOD. Every night, Jalan Song comes alive. We have almost everything here, spoilt with choices. From street food, to korean, to Pizza Hut and (not long ago) Starbucks.

I think its both lucky and unlucky for us to live in this area. It depends. When I'm lazy to cook, we can always walk for food. But its hard for us to resist the temptation when food is so easily accessible.SIGH, expanding waistline..

Anyway, from time to time, I shall share about what we tried here. The good and the bad. What we love, what we loathe. :)

And for today, its Frienz N Family Semi Fine Dining Restaurant.

The signboard sure caught our attention.

The walls are painted in shades of pink. I think Pink Cotton and Red Sponge will like this place. The dimmed lights made some wall appear red.

Now, we went to this place twice. The first time was like 2 wks ago.

1st visit:

Mushroom soup. VERY TASTY and FLAVORFUL. I forgot the price. I think its about RM5.90. I enjoyed it very much. But don't really like it when I found bay leaves in the soup. In my opinion, I think it should be removed.

I ordered pasta for myself. I forgot the name, I think its Carbonara. Presentation is good, but its not one of the best Pasta I have ever eaten. Its creamy, but the taste is quite bland. I won't order it again. Price should be around Rm12.90.

Oink ordered Lamb Chop for himself. I think the presentation of the dish is very nicely done. The taste? yummy! I definitely like this dish more than my pasta. Price should be between RM13 - Rm14.90.

2nd visit:

Our drinks! Oink had Teh Tarik and I had Watermelon juice (RM4.80)

Oink ordered Lamb Stew. DELICIOUS! RM 16.90.

I ordered JohnDory Grilled Fish. YUMMY! But its a bit cold. May be because of the aircon. RM12.90.

Overall, Frienz N Family is a good place to dine. The price is reasonable. Most of the food I tried is good (except for the pasta). I will definitely go there again. :)

Birthdays

It was Aden's birthday on the 23rd August. And redsponge and CCW threw him a BIRTHDAY PARTY!

And the proud parents ordered Thomas & Friends cake and cute cupcakes, which Oink and I was given one each *happy*

I was getting ready to the party. I tied up a pony tail. And was thinking it looked a bit dull. So I open my drawer to look for a hair band, and something caught my eye. So I use it.

Its a bra strap.AHAHAHA! I seldom use it anyway. At least it has another use for it.

Last weekend, the in laws decided to celebrate Oink's birthday earlier. I wanted to surprise Oink. With a cake! So I asked Selina's help. I had to lie a few times to Oink, telling him I go out with another friend but in actual fact, I was out shopping for the ingredients with Selina and making the cake.

The blueberry cheesecake.

Now putting all the cream nicely on the cake is x2 more difficult than the baking and mixing and all.

JENG JENG JENG!

The cake done with all decorations and stuff. Although its not very pretty, but I did it with love. In case you are wondering, the letters are made from "agar-agar" ahahaha!

and today, is Oink's Birthday! HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAREST!

P/S its still sore now. :(

Lately I feel old..

You know you are old when the teens and kids selling drinks at Kuching Fest calls you AUNTY . SIGGGHHHHHHHHHH But they call Oink Uncle too, but it does not effect him emotionally much (unlike me), cos memang he is UNCLE level already 'x'

But lately the "old feeling" came back stronger and slapped me on the face.

when..

*starting to get teary eyed*

my younger brother, whom I bullied when he was still a kid, whom cried together with me when our cat died, whom I chatted with till late at night while lying on our beds (we shared room till I finished primary school) announce that he got a GF. I used to make him tell his school stories to me when I cannot sleep. Up until now, I made Oink tell me stories/ sing when I can't sleep. I know! I am such a baby sometimes. :p

I still remember the day when we send him to KL to study. This baby brother of mine, whom never once spent a day without us beside him, is going away to study. We are not a family that shows our affection or any emotion openly. But that day, while looking at my bro go into the departure hall, ours eyes were red. Well, time flies and behold, he finished his engineering course. And I got even more shocked when he brought his girlfriend to stay with us at the hotel when we go KL for his convocation. IMAGINE! MY GEEKY BRO! GOT GF ALREADY! ITS SIMPLY TOO MUCH FOR ME TO DIGEST! AHAHAH

Anyway, the first day there, I saw that my bro is still too shy to hold the gf's hand in front of us, quite funny, I keep want to giggle when walking behind them. But as they walk in front of us, I look at them, I feel both happy and sad at the same time. Happy that my bro finally got people want 'x'!! and sad because that means soon he might start to have his own family. So this is how parents feel when their kids marry off. I think next time when my own kids start their own family elsewhere, I will cry a river laaa..AHAHHA

Come, I intro you guys to my bro..

eyes looking elsewhere, actually he was checking to see the GF come already not.

Aiyo, my dad also look elsewhere..tsk tsk tsk..really like father like son.

Our photo when we were little..I look kinda boyish in this photo. But I look much cuter and ladylike now lo..(muka tembok)

And look how grown he is now...time flies...

And how ironic, the day we were to leave KL for home. The TV at the hotel was showing the cartoon me and my bro used to watch when we were still little during school holidays. We even acted out the plot when we were kids. AHAHAHA. I stood there and watch the cartoon, and sweet memories flooded my mind. Luckily the room was dark, because at that time, that very moment, my eyes was swollen with tears.

*sniff*

By the way, my bro is in Penang working now. Say hi to him for me if you see him.

not-so-new 50 note

Remember last year ppl paid more than RM50 to buy the new RM50?

Well, I got them last night when I went to take them from the ATM machine. At first I felt weird how come the 50s that came out seem different, then I realized its the new not-so-new 50 notes. NO WONDER the uncle before me stood there for a long time staring at the money in his wallet.

Ok, to the Malaysians working/ studying out there, this is the new look of RM50. As compared to the old one.

Last Week

Monday - Had trouble waking up in the morning due to the insomnia I had during the weekend which is due to too much day time sleeping 'x'. Had a briefing with some user who are new to my system. Grumbled when I received email on CHANGE REQUESTS to my other system (system C) in the afternoon.

Tuesday - Again having trouble to wake up. Brushed my teeth while thinking what should I do for today. And it was decided to continue with my new system development in the morning and change according to requests for the System C in the afternoon. But once I got to office, I started with System C instead 'x'

Wednesday -AGAIN! Just because of a disturbed sleeping routine in the weekend, it totally affected my week. The usuals at work. Had lunch and found a worm in my vege. Proves that my vege was not chemically treated.'x' Better than finding cockroach/ flies in my lunch. Oink said its extra protein. I told him he can have it if he wants 'x'

Thursday - I had to use all my force in my eye muscle to lift my eye lids open. AHAHAHA. Work was as usual. Had lunch at McDonald's, was sooo full.

Friday - Still having trouble waking up. Work was as usual but did it more "relaxing-ly" .TGIF. Taking it slow and steady. Had Indian lunch with Oink. After lunch, my work progressed even slower. AHAHAH. That was until I got an email routed to me AT 4.30pm!! which required a job done in 3 working days. *GRUMBLE* I don't want to leave it till next week. So I just proceeded with the job. Luckily its an easy one. Feeling really contented that I solved it, and I would have one less thing to worry in the weekend.

Saturday - Overslept! Supposed to go BP Health Centre to do blood test early in the morning. By the time we got up, fed Mango and wait for her to pee and poo, got ready, its almost 10.40 am. 'x' When we were at BP, we had our weight and height measured. I dropped 3 ++ kg. I happily announced it to Oink. In which he replied :" THAT'S BECAUSE YOU HAVEN'T EATEN YET MA.." -.-"'

Sunday - Went to this quite new kopitiam near our house to find the choices is really limited. Baked some potatoes when I got home. And it was amazing-ly delicious. San went to Hong Kong & Macau, and gave me some egg tarts from Macau. SO YUMMMY OK?! I really miss the egg tarts. And it soooo good. I keep repeating its soo yummy while eating the tarts.

TWO WOMEN TALK

Jackie and I were chatting about the last movie we watched together, in fact it seem like the only movie we ever watched together..I think..

Then we just can't seem to recall the movie we watched that time.

I remember there's Jee and she remembered there's Oink. AHAHA..

I remember the smell of sugarbun's broasted chicken. Jackie was preggie that time, and she and Jee ate the chicken while watching movie, smell damn nice loo... 'x'

She remembered we went to toilet together..

I remembered we got stop by petrol station to buy bottled drinks.

But we just can't seem to remember what movie we watched!O.o

Sigh... I guess forgetfulness is a sign of aging? But then, we can remember the other details!

NO NO NO, we are not old, MUST BE THE MOVIE NOT INTERESTING ENOUGH FOR US TO REMEMBER! YUP! that's it! 'x'

SO LUCKY!

Yesterday so happy lo

FIRST TIME!

in my mahjong-playing-history,

I won this big..okay...it may not be very big to others, but this is my GREATEST achievement in Mahjong to date ok?

So I took photo of my winning tiles. 'x'

At first, its not a "dui dui" tiles. I keep getting flower tiles, see the many flower tiles on the first row? left 2 hiding uncovered, the rest didn't even manage to get any flower. And finally I manage to "zhi mo" "7 shuo"

WAHAHAH, so damn happy ok! "zhi mo" kok!!

"ZHI MO"! " "DUI DUI"! "OWN FLOWER"! "BAI BAN"!"HUNG ZHONG"! left one big tile then I can make it to "Da 3 yuan"!

But then I am happy enough, since I manage to "zhi mo" a tile myself to win this game.

LUCKY!

Addiction

I am recently quite addicted to online shopping.

I buy clothes, hair stuff, accessories online. And I am like a step away from buying shoes online but scared that it won't fit me/ look good on me.
Although they look soooo tempting and drop dead gorgeous in the photos. *hands itchy* Its so hard to find a shoe you really like in Kuching. They don't stock up shoes your size alot ( I wear size 4.5) and definitely not alot designs to choose from.Think boring *yawn*. I usually shop for shoes at KL. And if I really really badly truly need a shoe, I will go to Hock Lee's Heatwave, they always have my size.

I don't know why, I think its soo much easier to shop online for clothes once you know your size since all these online boutiques do describe the measurements. And its MUCH cheaper also! Even with the postage. I saw an exact turtle neck I bought online here at one of the shops along Jalan Tun Jugah. And guess what? That shop sell more than RM 10 more expensive than what I pay online (excluding the postage fee)
I saw another exact same piece at another shop at Jalan Tun Jugah selling at RM75 and the tauke neo say cannot less anymore online and guess what? Its selling for less than RM50. What the...!

If you shop online also won't have a sales promoter tagging you like a puppy, complimenting HOW GOOD you look in their clothes even though in reality, it looks so fugly on you. For all these reasons, I am soo into shopping online. There's a risk though, I once bought a dress of a poor quality :(. But now, as I more experienced in online shopping compared to then, I know which online shops I can go, and which not.

Besides, the fashion in online shops is much more IN and have MORE variety. BUT! buying online you have to act FAST. You cannot think long long like when you are in the changing room. The more popular online boutiques always have their GOOD STUFF grabbed up before you can even click to see the enlarged photos. AHHA . I once naively thought that the next day the clothes will still be available,
Let me think on whether to buy not first, only to have the status of that clothes that I finally decided to buy changed to SOLD OUT,or only left stock with colours that people with no colour blind wants.. SIGHHH..AHAHAH

When I get my salary this month, I shall do some more online shopping. AHAHHA

The pearl hair band I recently purchased.

NICE? Had to cover my eyes with my had to protect them from the flash.

Betime Story

One night when I am unwell, I was soo sleepy. Tired. But then since its still early, I felt like its so sayang to sleep so early.'x' Hope you get what I mean. But then, I need to sleep early cos I am sick, but then feel like chatting with Oink who was surfing the net, reading football news beside me. I told Oink things at office and etc. Then I said "aiyah, you tell me story till I sleep la.."

So he began with " Once upon a time.."

" there's a bird, it caught a worm and flew back to its nest. It then feed the worm to chick no.1, then chick no.2, chick no.3, chick no.4, youngest chick..

then feed chick no.1 again, then chick no.2 again, chick no.3 again, chick no.4 again, youngest chick again.." I can see where this story is leading -.-"'

I interrupted " HOW CAN?!! how can a single worm feed so many chicks, so many time??!"

Oink replied " aiyah, the bird cut the worm to small pieces ma.."

me : O.O!! What the..

Oink : " then a boy came with 'lastik(sling shot)' and the nest is hit and all the birdie died.."

me : O.o!! "HAR...you want to give me nightmare is it?"

Oink : *chuckles* "OK OK, I change the story a bit.. The boy missed and all the birdies live happily ever after..together..~the end~ "

Then I dozed off and slept :)

Hilton High Tea

Last Saturday, we had high tea at Hilton.

Hilton is having its 21st Anniversary, and is currently having promotion for all its buffet at 21++

However, I believe most of it should have been fully booked.

Because our high tea was PACKED with people, HUNGRY people. People here and there, and the food run out fast. So we had to grab the food fast also.

This is my first plate of food. I am lazy to take any more photos of the food cos I am hungry and since there's a lot of people moving around, it won't be convenient for me to do so too.

And guess who joined us ( there's 12 of us all together)?

Gabbie! She was napping most of the time and woke up when we are almost done chomping on food. Her chubby cheeks so cute laa..

I am sick and tired

which is true...

because I have been coughing for more than a week now. Why oh why that it seem that my sickness is getting more n more difficult to heal as I grow? I miss a lot of good food you know?

I miss eating spicy chicken wings, i miss mcd's fries, I miss ice cream, I miss nasi lemak...sighhhhhhhhhh

and the last time when I thought I am almost recovered, I went binging on all those forbidden food I cannot have when coughing. And ended up with more coughing!

I would wake up suddenly at nights, and cough like hell! And it feels difficult for me to breathe after I cough, and my tears just flowed n flowed when I cough like that. And on Wednesday night, I coughed till vomited :(

very sad la, when will I get back to normal?

Ho Chin Minh Day 3

*** WARNING: IF your name is FELICIA THEN, DON'T READ THIS POST, cos I posted up a photo of something you will be terrified off, don't say I didn't warn you..AHAHAH***

Our activity for today is mainly on Mekong river. We had a ride on one of these boats while viewing what little is left of their floating market.

Look at this, they practically live on their boat.

I started to notice there's "eyes" on the boats. Can you see it?

We then stopped somewhere along the river to this little village, where they made some local products.

Here you can see how the rice paper is made. My tour guide is by her side explaining the process.

My guide call this "rice popcorn"..AHHAHA.

It tasted AWESOME when I plucked some of hot ones out from the tray after they erm "stir-fry" it. Its actually just like the "bee pang" we have here back home.

They have these bottles of snake wine lined up. And they are giving away free samples. In which I told my dad of, and "encouraged" him to go and try it out 'x'

This is him, before drinking. Saying "cheers"

This is after. AHHAHAA. The expression is PRICELESS.

In the itinerary, its stated that we will need to ride bicycles to our lunch place. I thought that it will be a piece of cake for me since I can ride very well. Expecting it to be mountain bikes. BOY, how I WAS WRONG! THIS IS VIETNAM! They had these black bicycles, with NON-ADJUSTABLE seats, no gear, I think they are from the war times. No photo of it, cos all the taller peoples have left, even the Caucasian teenager is taller than me! WHY OH WHY am I not taller? I should follow my mum! She left riding on a motorcycle. I was the last one cos I was looking around for a bike that I can climb up to. But they all have the same height! I then resorted to SLAPPING on the seat, hoping to make it go lower. FAILED! My dad is yelling at me, asking me to keep up or I will get lost, so guess what did I do?I jump on the bike, and ride on. We soon reach a bridge that is going upwards, and guess what? I pedaled and pedaled and JUST can't go up. So I need to jump down again, and walk over the bridge. My dad is losing his patience and yelling for me to keep up. I was last to arrive at the restaurant, I had to ride my bike onto the wall to stop 'x', the girl working in the restaurant even CHUCKLED, I bet she can ride that antique without any trouble.HMPH.

This is what they call an elephant fish.

Some veges and herbs, I didn't touch any of the herbs. This is suppose to be wrapped together with the fish and sauce in the rice paper sheets.

my pork and vege lunch. The pork is SOOO nice. It reminded me of satay.

After lunch, we had some free time. So I just lie around on a hammock and look at the photos I took.

We were then brought by our guide further into the village.

where we would have another boat ride.

This is Suani, and we are on the same boat. He is also sitting next to me in the tour bus. He is quite funny, for all those questions in English that I asked, he will just nod and say yes if he don't understand even though its a why or how questions. HAHAHA!

This is our young "Gondolier". AHAHAH. Suani kept flirting with her.

It was a pleasant ride. Relaxing, where we look at the village houses by the river.

That's all. We then went back to the hotel with our bus, and most of us were so tired that we slept through the way back.
